Jasmine---
  Jasmine is a genus of  shrub family.  It contains around 200 species native to tropical and warm temperature regions. The leave of jasmine are borne, opposite or alternate. The flowers are typically around 2.5 cm in diameter.  They are white or yellow in color.Each flower has about four to nine petals. They are usually fragrant.  A number of jasmine species have become naturalized in Mediterranean Europe.  Widely cultivated for its flowers. Jasmine is enjoyed in the garden as a house plant and as cut flowers. The flowers are worn by women in their hair in Southern and South East Asia..  Jasmine tea is often consumed in China. It is favorite tea for Chinese.  Several countries consider jasmine as  a national symbol.  Hawai, Indonesia, Pakistan, Phillippines are such countries. In India Western and Southern states we found jasmine cultivation. Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra and Tamilnadu are the states that cultivated jasmine mostly.For commercial use jasmine cultivated few places in India.
In Tamilnadu we found jasmine farms in few places. for commercial purpose.  In Coimbatore and its  nearest places jasmine cultivated only a few number of lands.  One of the long term cultivated crop. Irrigation is also must for this crop. Most number of farmers have no desire for this crop because of irrigation and harvest. In temples worship god by jasmine is our culture. Tamil culture is ancient culture. Decorated and worshiped by humanity is satisfy.  Every tamil women have a great desire to  pick up on their hair for this jasmine flower. During marriage functions, cultural functions and festivals jasmine gets great important for women. Even children also have desire for this flower. School going girls, college going girls married women all are give respect for this flower as ornamental item. Fragrance of this flower attracts everybody. For commercial purpose few farmers cultivated this crop. Early morning picked the flowers by labors and send it to market. In Coimbatore Poomarket is famous for flower market. Purchasing flowers by everybody for this market. In Pollachi also have a flower market. Nearby customers visit here and purchase their desire flower. Perfumed products also made of this jasmine. Cent items mostly liked by everybody. All of us like this fragrant flower.
