The goat is a member of the family Bovidae and genus of Cobra. Trinomical name is Cabra aegagrushirgus. Female goats are referred to as does or nannies males are called as bucks or billies. Goats are among the earliest animals domesticated by humans. Most goats naturally have two horns of various shapes and sizes depending on the breed. Both male and female goats have beards goat tails are short and usually point up. Goats reach puberty between three and 15 month of age. Life expectancy for goats is between 15 to 18 years. Nowadays the cost of goat is 400 hundred rupees and above in Tamilnadu.  This cost greater than chicken meat.  Mutton kurma, mutton varuval and mutton chops are favorite side dishes in Tamilnadu. In some temples goats killed and its blood submit to gods and worship by devoties.  Mettuppalayam Vana Pathra kaliamman temple is the most important temple in this categry. The owners of the vehicles come to this temple and worship by killing goats for their desire here. Also in some villages Maakaaliamman festival celebrates for making of goat meat. Also every tamil home goat meat get a great important. So all we like goat meat and goats too much.. Goats are not only pet animal also give tastier food animal. It is true.
