BULLOCK----Bullock is a animal mostly connected with human activities. Ancient times bullock is great participant for culture,and needed one for human rotating life.  An ox is also known as bullock in Australia and India. Oxen is used for plowing for transport [pulling carts ,hauling wagans and even riding]  oxen may be used also in forests particularly in low impact. Oxen are usually yoked in pairs, light work such as carting household items on good roads just required one pair and for heavier work further pairs would be added. Working oxen are thought to respond to the signals of ox driver. Most breeds of cows, bulls, steers, they are all able to have horns but is depends on the genetics. In genetics horns are recessive and poiled is dominent.
In India bullocks have entered all location. They are all not only riding carts also cultivated lands for agriculture uses. In Tamilnadu bullocks have a great important for every farmers.Nowadays the tractors come to cultivate the farms so that bullocks have no importance. But bullock cart race is an exiting and interesting one in south Tamilnadu especially Pollachi and Kinathukkadavu sorroundings.  Bullocks and bullock carts are decorated and get started for race.It is our culture and much more interest.  Youth have great joy for participate this event. Especially Pongal festival bullocks have great participate in farmers life.Every one bath the bullocks and painted the horns for attractive.It is Tamil culture.This is called Mattu Pongal.    Kangayam bullocks are famous in Tamilnadu.  Kangayam bullocks have shining in body and heaviest body fitness  These bullocks costlier than other bullocks.  These cost lacks of rupees.  Another one thing we have to remember this time,....that is jallikkattu.....This is famous in south Tamilnadu. Man fight against bullocks and won the title of winner.  But now it is not allowed for Indian government
