Pomegranate is a kind of fruit used all over the world. This fruit bearing deciduous shrub in the family of Lythraceae. Pomegranate is native to a region of Iran and also region of North India. Pomegranates have been cultivated Middle East South Asia and Meditteranean region and cultivated in Central Valley of California. A large dry pomegranates was found in the tomb of Djehuty. Thoth as an ancient Egyptian deity. In that culture he referred as god of moon. Queen Hatehe of Egypt had been the Queen of Eighteenth Dynasty of Egypt. Mesopodian records mentioned that pomegranates in third Millian BC onwards. During that ancient days these fruits have been considered a luxury good. It is also extremely grown in China also. Kandhagar is famous in Afghanistan for its high quality pomegranates. Also this fruit widely used for Bonsai. Bonsai is a traditional art of Japanese. Not only Japan the country Korea also cultivated this plant. Also the pomegranate had been introduced as an exotic to England in previous centuries. America and Newzealand introduced this fruits in later years. 


   Pomegranates are drought tolerant and can be grown in dry areas. It is popularly planted as an ornamental plant in gardens and also larger containers. These fruits have pink in colors and smaller, less sweet fruit. Several identification as color range such as pink, yellow, purple and red. Red is common. The hardness of seed and juicy content known as its maturity of fruit to eat. The countries such as India, Peru, Chile, Egypt and Israel supplied pomegranates to European markets. China as its selfuse for it.
   Dried fruit seeds found in some natural speciality food markets. In some countries this fruit only used for juice purpose. In Turkey this fruit used as a sauce and salad. Also used as receipies in some places. In India ancient Ayurvedha system of tradition of medicine frequently described as an incridient of remedies. A pomegranate is displayed in coins in ancient Greek. Some Jewish scholars believe the pomegranate was the forbidden fruit in the Garden of Eden. Garden of Eden also as Garden of God. 


So pomegranate is a chief and also best fruit for all people. In Tamilnadu this fruit planted all places. Also planted all kinds of soils and climates. In every houses we have to see this fruit for eat. Even backyard of every houses this fruit pickled by every one for there desire to eat. Mostly recommended by doctors for health condition. This fruit contains water in heavy content. Also sweet flavor content. In Tamilnadu also this fruit as a culture tradition event for all peoples. For respect of culture and also as symbol of high tradition. In Coimbatore in road side also we have to see this plant and used as summer fruit. In small stalls also marketed this fruit. Not only in fruit stalls also small packages of fruits purchased as cheap rate such as ten or twenty rupees of Indian money. In some places the juice of this fruit purchased by the consumers and drink it with ice water. It is also called as fruit of poor. So eat this cheap fruit and gain more health for it.
