LAVENDER
Fragrance is the special feature of all flowers. But lavender got high fragrance also beautiful bluish-purple color for its special feature of its performance. Lavender is also known as Lavandula, family of Lamiaceae. It is the native of Mediterranean, East Africa, South west Asia also India. Lavender plants grow in any kind of soil and also lots of sun also good drainage. It is planted if the soil is warming up during young plant. Keep away from wet moist areas which could encourage root top. Lavender plant is not a seed growth plant. It is planted as a nursery and then it is cultivated in the gardens. The plants grow 1 to 3 feet high. Weekly once or twice to irrigate water for its need The mature plants of buds about two to three weeks from the plant and harvest twice weekly for its growth. Also there after used as medicine and perfume cosmetics. In India lavender used many states such as Tamilnadu, Karnataka Andrapradesh and more. In Coimbatore it is cultivated some places. There are some common types of lavenders. 1.Spanish Lavenders-
1.Ballerina. These types of variety harvest twice a year. Their scent is very strong. 2. Kew Red. These types of flowers have dark ping petals on top. These scents is also strong. 3. These types of lavender flowers attract bees and butterflies for its sweet honey 4. Regal Splendor. These flowers have long purple flowers and also covered bees and butterflies. 5. Fathead. These types of flowers have round petals and the flower is pink.
2. English Lavenders.
1. Miss Katherina. These types of flowers have deep pink color. It loves directly under sun. 2. Little Lottie. These types of flowers won many awards. It is in light pink and look like spikes. 3. Royal Purple. These type of flowers used certain dishes and sweet scent with it. Also good for craft. 4. Hid cafe. These are dark purple flower also blue-green foliage. 5. Betty Blue. These type of flowers are very large. Also have deep violet or blue. It has sweet scent in it. 6. Melissa. It is pretty one and soft lilac color, flower spikes grow tall. 7. Nana Alpa. It has white flowers and silver green foliage. Egyptian lavenders are different in smell and its flowers. Also French lavenders sweet in taste. Lavenite petite is origin of Newzealand. Portuguese lavenders are one of the newest lavenders in market. So lavenders are beauty and fragrance flowers. Lavender dew Agarbathies are fragrance and used in devotional purposes.
