Cuckoo is a kind of singing bird found all over the world. Cuckoo or Conorous means melodious or meaning to sing. English word cuckoo comes from French word. Mostly they were found in Europe. About 100 million cuckoos lived all over the world. The life cycle of this bird is 6 years. Common cuckoo is 34 centimetres long and wing span about 55 centimetres. Greyish in color and have a long tail. They have small feathers with small airflow over the wings and tail. Common cuckoos have variable plumage. Some of them have strong brown upper parts while others have gray. Brown birds have feathers edged creamy white. Flight feathers are the long. Male cuckoos about the weight of 130 grams while female cuckoos about 110 grams weight. Cuckoo family named as Cuculidae belonging to the Genus of Cuculus. The males song usually open perch while female has loud and long sound. The cuckoos start their song of sound in the month April. In the month of June forget its tune. Common cuckoo is widespread summer. This season they fly away for the purpose of breeding and wintering risks. These birds are arrive from these places in April and return to these place in September.


During winter season cuckoos stayed in Africa. Diet of cuckoos consist of insects and caterpillars. These birds lay their eggs in the nest of other birds. Cuckoos mostly lay eggs of the nest of crow. Maximum this is the way to lay eggs. About 100 host species were recorded. Asian Crowd cuckoos are large in cuckoos family. They are restricted to humid forested regions of Southern Asia. They are related to South American ground cuckoos. Meadow Pipit is one of the specie found in Greenland, Iceland and Russia. Another specie Dunnock found in Europe, Russia ans New Zealand. Euasian Red Warber found in Europe. It is migratory wintering in Sahara. Another specie Garden Warber found in Siberia. White Wagtail is small in size found in Europe, Asia and North America. Europea Robin specie mostly found in Great Britain. Bambling is another specie found in mountain sides. Common Redstart found in Finland. Common cuckoo evolves to lay eggs bettet than hosts eggs. The  weight of cuckoos egg 3.2 grams. Common cuckoo chicks persaude their host parents to feed them. 



Road Runners are long tail specie found in Mexico. Guira cuckoo is a specie found widely in Brazil, Uruguay, Bolivia and Argentina. Australia Koels are found in Australia known as Eastern Koel. Honey Eater is a medium size bird found in Australia and New Zealand. The Asian Koel is found in South East Asia. Asian Emarad cuckoo find in India, Bangladesh, Bhutan, China, Combodia, Malasia, Srilanka, Thailand and Mianmar. Anis is one of the specie found in United States. New Morphia is native to America. These are called New World Ground Cuckoos. Greater black Coucal is found in Aru Islands. Horn Bills found in Asia and Africa. Black bills are the Greek cuckoos. Cuckoos have played major role in culture events. Tamil God Kamadeva and Madana have express their desire of love for this cuckoo. In Europe Goddess Hera was also had a relative story with cuckoo in ancient days.Also William Shakespeare wrote his poets with cuckoo and its culture events. So cuckoos are not only singing birds also culture reflecting birds.
